Why count before you buy

Most families guess how many name labels they need, and most guess low. The list from a school, nursery or camp tells you what to bring, not how many of each you own, and it leaves out the spare jumper, the second water bottle and last year's coat that still fits. Undercounting means a second order in October. Overcounting means a drawer of labels nobody uses.

The calculator starts from a preset for daycare, school, summer camp or a care home, lets you change every quantity to match the wardrobe you actually have, and then shows the cheapest combination of packs for that total. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type leaves the page.
