How to label school uniforms
Choose the label by surface, place it where it can be found without irritating the wearer, and follow the garment and label care instructions.

Before you start
Check every garment's care instructions before applying heat.
Choose a flat area and avoid seams, fasteners and textured fabric.
Keep original care symbols, material information and safety warnings readable.
Write down how many garments and pieces of equipment you are labeling before choosing a pack.
Where to put each label
A visible-enough internal position helps school staff identify the item while keeping the label comfortable during wear.

| Shirts, polos and dresses | Inside the collar, waistband or another flat area that can safely take heat. |
| Sweaters and cardigans | Inside the neckline or on a suitable existing care tag. |
| Coats and jackets | Use a heat-safe internal area or care tag; use a sticker only on an appropriate hard surface. |
| PE and sports kit | Label each separate top, bottom, layer and equipment bag. |
| Bottles and lunchboxes | Use a waterproof sticker on a clean, dry, smooth hard surface. |
Choose the correct format
Iron-on name labels go directly on suitable garment fabric.
Care-tag name labels sit on a heat-safe section of the tag already inside the garment.
Waterproof QR stickers are for clean hard surfaces such as bottles and lunchboxes.
Do not guess with heat-sensitive material
Do not iron labels onto waterproof shells, nylon or any surface whose care instructions rule out the required heat. Choose another appropriate surface or label format.
